The next meeting of Subchapter 161 will be at Curt’s Café, 2922 Central Street, Evanston on August 19 beginning at noon. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at Curt’s Café  as early as 11:30. When you order and pay for food, save your receipt so that you can be reimbursed if you win the lottery later in the meeting. Food will be delivered to the table during a recess at 12:45.

We will cover updates on political endorsements and actions for the midterm elections from the PEOPLE meeting and AFSCME Convention. We will also discuss long-term organizing to defend civil rights, union rights, and restoration of taxes for benefits and services.We will further plan our members’ picnic scheduled for September 16.
