The AFSCME Retirees will meet at the Hackney’s restaurant at 1514 E. Lake Street, Glenview on Wednesday, April 18. The meeting will begin at 11:30AM. This is the 3rd Wednesday of the month, our regularly scheduled meeting time.
We are saddened to report that Jinnie Esler, a long-time friend to many of us and a trustee of our subchapter, died on April 13. We extend our deepest condolences to her family. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

All members and guests are urged to participate in a nationwide labor protest demonstration against the Janus (fair-share) case to be ruled on by the Supreme Court. In the Chicago area, the demonstration will take place at the Daley Center, 50 W. Washington St. at noon on Saturday, February 24. President Charlie Hogan will be near the Picasso Center; members are invited to join him for lunch afterwards, complements of the subchapter.
