AFSCME Retirees Subchapter 161 will sponsor a picnic for all members, their families, and selected guests on Tuesday, September 3 (the day after Labor Day). The picnic will take place at Indian Boundary Park, 2500 W. Lunt Avenue (just west of Western Avenue), from 11:30 to 3:00. Food and drinks will be provided. Seating will be available but attendees are encouraged to bring additional folding chairs. They may also bring music on a flash drive or bluetooth device.
The next Subchapter 161 Members Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. The meeting will occur at Sweet Basil Cafe, 5203 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, IL 60077. The meeting will begin at noon. Attendees may arrive as early as 11:30 and should order food before the meeting begins (click here to view Sweet Basil Cafe menu). All attendees will be eligible to be selected by lot for a complementary meal.
