The next AFSCME Retirees Subchapter 161 Members Meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. The meeting will occur at Sweet Basil Cafe, 5203 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, IL 60077. The meeting will begin at noon. Attendees may arrive as early as 11:30 and should order food before the meeting begins (click here to view Sweet Basil Cafe menu). All attendees will be eligible to be selected by lot for a complementary meal. Members should bring their cell phones in order to learn our new procedures for conveying information.

Clyde Wilson, President of AFSCME Retiree Subchapter 163, will speak about his experiences in the union and in the Civil Rights movement in Mississippi. The meeting will include a discussion of the Campaign for Prescription Drug Affordability Act and the Humanize Long Term Care Campaign.
